1 Corinthians 2

Read 1 Corinthians Chapter 2

“For I determined not to know anything among you except Jesus Christ and Him crucified.”

‭‭I Corinthians‬ ‭2:2

Our nation seems to be full of strife and division: Republican vs Democrat, conservative vs progressive, and on and on.

It can be real easy to get involved in a heated discussion if you are not careful. Proverbs 17:14 says “The beginning of strife is like letting out water [as from a small break in a dam; first it trickles and then it gushes]; Therefore abandon the quarrel before it breaks out and tempers explode.”

I picked this verse to focus on because we are called of God to preach the Gospel which is good news!  We are not called to go fuss and fight!  Folks, I routinely remind myself of this verse, that being "Jesus Christ and him crucified".  Let’s keep our focus on sharing the simple message of the Gospel and not get sidetracked into unprofitable discussions!
